  • This is a metal plate that takes a direct reading of the pressure as it is applied to the cheese. The table where you take your own measurements that is supplied with the press is not needed.
  • 120mm long x 20mm wide x 2mm thick.
  • Measuring scale in 5kg equal increments from 0kg to 40kg. 0 kg is nil pressure and 40kg is the maximum pressure
  • The plate is made of aluminium and is laser engraved
  • It can be screwed onto the top follower or handheld against the top follower when pressing.  I prefer to hold the plate against the follower once I start pressing the cheese.

I have found that over many years of providing cheesemaking courses, having some basic cheesemaking experience before you get to the course is an enormous help with taking in the information provided at the course.
